Growing up on the South Side of Chicago, I had heard of Vito and Nick’s Pizzeria, which is in the southwest of the city. I knew it by reputation and was keen to check it out for myself. I was most definitely not disappointed! Vito and Nick have been specializing in producing thin crust pizza for almost 90 years. Their family-owned pizzeria is one of a kind. The décor brings back fond memories of the 1980s – it feels like hanging out in your parents’ basement back in the day, with friends and family popping over for good times in a relaxed atmosphere.
